What We Collect

If you sign up for an account or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. If you subscribe to the Detective plan, we also store your email address for login and subscription management purposes. That's it.

We don't collect your name, location, or any other personal information.

How We Use It

Your email address is used to send you Whodunnit Weekly newsletters — a Friday case teaser and a Monday solution notification. For signed-in users, your email is also used to send login links and track your guesses.

We will never sell, share, or give your email address to anyone else.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your payment card details — all payment data is handled entirely by Stripe. Subscribers can manage their billing and cancel at any time via the Stripe customer portal.

Where It's Stored

Your email address is stored on our self-hosted mailing list server and in our database. Emails are sent via Amazon Simple Email Service (SES). No third-party marketing platforms have access to your data.

Unsubscribing

Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also reply to any newsletter and ask to be removed. When you unsubscribe, your email address is deleted from our list.

Cookies & Tracking

This site uses a single httpOnly session cookie for signed-in users to stay logged in. We do not use analytics, tracking scripts, or any third-party cookies. We don't track which emails you open or which links you click.
